Identifying Falsified Trading Dashboards and Artificial Investment Returns
Fraudulent platforms often deploy proprietary web interfaces showing fictitious trading gains to encourage larger deposits. Verifying underlying transaction hashes on public explorers reveals whether actual market trading or asset custody exists.
- Query the initial deposit transaction hashes using a public onchain explorer to verify whether the funds actually entered an institutional liquidity pool or were diverted directly into personal unhosted wallets.
- Understand that interface balances showing exponential portfolio growth are frequently manipulated manually by platform administrators through simple database edits rather than being supported by verifiable market positions.
- Cease all capital transfers immediately if withdrawals are met with sudden computational errors or technical excuses, and preserve complete web browser logs alongside deposit destination addresses.
- Report the incident promptly to Action Fraud and notify the compliance teams of any custodial platforms where initial fiat-to-cryptocurrency conversions took place to facilitate formal tracking.
