Stories from people who lost money to crypto fraud — and what they did next

Every story on this page was written by the person it happened to. We review each submission to check it is genuine before it is published, and we publish it only with their explicit consent — with the name they chose, never their evidence or contact details.

Your story does not need to be dramatic or finished. Whether you are still in the middle of it or years past it, writing down what happened helps the next person spot the pattern — and helps us understand the fraud we investigate.

Screenshots, chat exports or statements (JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF, 10 MB each). Evidence is stored privately, used only to check your story is genuine, and never published.

Never include private keys, seed phrases or passwords in your story or files. Wallsec never asks for them and will never contact you asking for payment in cryptocurrency.

Stories are personal accounts, not legal advice, and not evidence of any outcome in your own case. No investigation can guarantee a result.
