In cryptocurrency fraud, phishing usually imitates a wallet, an exchange, a support desk, a bank or a police force, and arrives through search ads, messaging apps or social media replies.
The reliable defence is procedural rather than technical: never act on a link or number supplied in the message itself. Navigate to the organisation independently and use the contact details it publishes.
